Owl Pellet

サイエンスセンターでメンバー限定のイベントがあったので行ってきた。そこで、たあくんが夢中になったのがフクロウのペレット。日本語で何て言うのか分からないけれど、ペレットは口から出す排泄物。フクロウには胃が２個あり、一つ目の胃で食べた小動物や鳥の皮・羽・骨（消化できない物）と肉や内臓（消化できる物）に分けられ、消化できない物を吐き出すらしい。今日は、このペレットから小動物や鳥の骨を探すと言う体験をしてきた。
下の骨の写真はたあくんの収穫物。
We went to the Science Center's members only event. Taka was fascinated by Owl Pellet. Owl Pellet is excreta comes out from their mouth. Owl has two stomachs. The first stomach dose divide little animals or birds owls ate between skin, feather and bones which owl can not digest and meat, blood and internal organs which owl can digest. Then things owl could not digest become pellets and owl spew out pellets. Taka had an experience of finding little animals or birds bones from owl pellets. Pictures are his today's crops.
