グアバ Guava

家のお隣さんはフィリピン人の一家。裏庭に見たことのない果物の木があり、その木からとっても良い匂いのする実が家の裏庭に落ちてくる。見たことも食べた事もないが、ジュースで飲んだ事があるグアバの匂いだなぁ・・・と思い、隣のおじさんに聞きに行った。やっぱりグアバだった。食べた事が無いと言ったら、おじさんは、「日本にはグアバが無いのか？？？」と驚いていて、なっているグアバをくれた。日本はフィリピンのように暖かくないからなぁ・・・。

早速、試食！味は・・・思ったとおりのグアバの味。ママは一口食べただけで、後はたあくんにぜ～んぶ食べられてしまいました。

Philippino Family lives our next door. There is a fruit tree in their backyard. Sometime, this fruit fell in our backyard and it is smell so good. I knew this smell. This is Guava. I had never seen or eaten guava but I had drunk guava juice before. I asked the guy next door if I can have few. I surprised that there is no guava in Japan and gave me guava. Japan is not hot as Philippine so we do not have much Tropical Fruits.

We tried it! It was just like Guava taste I know. But I ate only one slice...Taka ate all.
