スイカ割り Suika wari

じじとばばが、畑から出来損ないのスイカを持ってきたので、スイカ割りをした。
初めてだったのでいまいち上手に出来なかった・・・。
Taka did Suika wari for the first time. Suika is watermelon and Wari is bust. Watermelon bust is a common game in Japan in summer.

Hello Kaori,

I'm sure everyone enjoyed Marvin's visit - however brief it was.

I had been wondering about Naoki's reaction when first seeing his father again. Providing I'm accurate in getting my answer from your beautiful pictures, it is as though Naoki's acceptance was immediate.

As you indicated, Taka is the one most sensitive to changes. And because of Taka's uniqueness, from associating with his partenal grandparents in Shreveport to his maternal grandparents in Japan and so many other relatives and frineds in Texas, California, Hawaii and more; to say nothing about his knowledge and ability to fluently communicate in Japanese and English give him an uncommon gift and advantage. Surely he will prosper from intimate knowledge from all of this along with the cultural understanding and differences: one being ancient and the other modern.

Incidentally, to what extent has Taka been talking about getting reacquainted with this play and schoolmates in California?

I enjoyed all of your beautiful pictures and comments. But I have a special request, INCLUDE MORE PICTURES OF YOURSELF!!!

Looking forward to seeing you guys coming through McKinney during the holiday season.

My regards to you family.

Love you,

Uncle Al Horton
