台風一過と地震 After the typoon and earthquake

朝起きたら、台風一過で風は強いけれど、爽やかで久しぶりに良い天気！と思っていたら１０時頃もの凄く大きな地震が起きた。最初にぐらっと揺れたとき、「これは大きい！」と思った。横にゆらゆらと結構長い間揺れていた。思わず近くにいたなおくんを抱っこして、たあくんを近くに引き寄せた。
急いでテレビをつけると、震源地は新潟、マグニチュード６．８、新潟と長野で震度６と何度も繰り返し、全てのチャンネルが地震関連の番組に変更になった。
幸い私たちの今いるところは震度４で、怪我も家屋も大丈夫。しかし、その後の余震も大きい物では震度５の物も起きており、１週間は余震の可能性が高いとのこと。
昨日の台風でたくさん雨が降り、地盤のゆるんでいる所に大きな地震で、３００戸以上の家屋が崩壊してしまった。亡くなった方や怪我をしたもいる。電車は線路から脱線し、高速道路には亀裂が生じ、一部で通行止め。たくさんの人が避難し、水や電気や食料のない不自由な生活を強いられている。これから夏休みで、出かけることも多くなるのに、本当に残念だ。
しかも、明日は雨らしい。もっともっと被害が多くなってしまいそうで、心配だ。
It was really nice weather after a long spell of rain when I woke up but there was big earthquake around 10 o'clock. when I felt first move I thought it was going to be big one in my experience. And I pulled Taka and Naoki near me quickly. When I turned TV on, all TV channel was reporting that earthquake. TV reporter was keep saying that the seismic center was Niigata, magnitude 6.8....
Fortunately, my place was no injury or breakdown.
But still there is aftershock and possibility aftershock for one week. Yesterday, there were so much rain and today big earthquake, more than 300 houses were breakdown, many people are without water and electricity, some people are dead and many people got injury, train was derailed, highway had big crack... still more there is going to be rain... I am anxious about more damage.
