なおくんとプルーン

なおくんはどんな果物も大好きでよく食べる。

アメリカに帰ってきて毎日のように食べているのがプルーン。

多い時には５個ぐらいペロッと食べてしまう。そんな日は普段２～３日に一回しか出ないなおくんのウンチも一日に２回ぐらい出る。

話は変わるけれど、日本の家には犬が２匹いる。我が家の犬たちは私たちが誤って落としたものを食べてしまう。日本にいるときになおくんはわざと落として犬たちを餌付けしていた。こっちに帰ってきてからも、何か落とすと、「ハナ～」（２匹のうちの一匹の名前）と呼んでキョロキョロ見回して、ご飯をあげようとする。いないのに・・・。

だんご虫

二人でバックヤードで何をしてるのかなぁっと思って見ていたら、なおくんがしきりに指をさして「ここ、ここ」と言っている。どうやらだんご虫を集めているらしい。なおくんが見つけて、たあくんが取る。バケツの中にはたくさんのだんご虫がいました。

そう言えば、アメリカに戻ってきてすぐ、なおくんにカメラを壊されてしまい、思うようにブログが更新できていません・・・。カメラを買い次第、またできるだけ毎日更新するようにしますね。

一年生！！！

今日から学校が始まった。たあくんが一年生だ！！！
日本で買ったゲキレンジャーのリュックサックを持って、今朝起きて作ったお弁当を持って元気良く行った。
友達１００人できるかな？？？

誰？？？

こっちに戻ってきて次の日、時差ぼけで眠くて寝ていた。起きたらなおくんの声がした。けれど、髪が！！！あれだけ「髪を取っておきたいし写真も撮りたいからママが切る！」と言っておいたのにマーヴィンが勝手に切ってきた。
可愛かったなおくんが、かっこ良くなってしまった・・・。

２ヶ月たってしまった It has been for two month

６月２０日にカリフォルニアを発ってから、あっと言う間の２ヶ月間だった。
来た頃はフラフラしながらやっと歩いていたなおくんは最近では家の中を走り回るようになったし、まだまだ話せないけれどこっちの言うことはだいぶわかっているようだ。
たあくんは岩舟弁をマスターしたし（しなくて良いのに・・・）、ひらがなの読み書きもかなり伸びたし、たくさんの種類の虫を触れるようにもなった。
次に来れるのはいつかなぁ・・・。
日本の家族の皆さん、お騒がせしましたね。うるさかったでしょう？
そして、お世話になりました。また来るね～。

It was in no time since we left California on Jun 20th.
When we came here Naoki was just start walking but now he is running in the house. And he cannot talk well yet but he understands what we say a lot.
Taka learned how to speak with Iwafune accent. (I do not want him to learn that...) Also he made progress reading and writing in Japanese. And he is able to touch many different kind of bugs.
I am sure it has been noisy for my family but I am sure they enjoyed my boys.
Thank you for everything and we are come back again!!!

グローブ A glove

このグローブ、 私たち姉妹が小学生の頃に高校の野球部の監督だった徳島のじいちゃんが買ってくれた物。上の写真のは私ので名前が書いてある。じいちゃんが買ってくれたグローブを使って、後何年かしたら、たあくんとなおくんがキャッチボールをする事が出来るだろう。じいちゃんは一昨年他界してしまったけれど、きっと見ていてくれるだろうなぁ。
My grandpa on my mother's side gave me and my sister gloves when we are elementary school students. (This glove on the picture is mine. There is my name on this glove.) He was teacher and managing a high school baseball team. In a few years, Taka and Naoki will play catch with these gloves. My grandpa passed away the year before last, yet I am sure he is watch us all the time.

ポケモン弁当 Pokemon Bento

前にも同じ題名のブログを書いたが、またもやポケモン弁当。前回のはセブンイレブンので、今回のはほっかほっか亭の。お弁当の中身はそんなに違いは無いけど、ほっかほっか亭のは期間限定でおもちゃが付く。コマーシャルを見てたあくんが食べたいと言ったので、母が買ってきてくれた。子供はポケモンが付いていれば何でも良いらしい、いつもは大して食べないのに完食した・・・。

祝・初タイ焼き Taiyaki

たあくん念願のタイ焼き。たあくんはあんこが大好きなのになぜか今まで食べる機会がなかった。美味しかったらしい。
Taiyaki is one of Japanese sweets. It is a fish-shaped pancake filled with Azuki been jam. Taka dose like Azuki bean jam but he did not have chance to eat Taiyaki. Finally he ate it and he said it was good!!!

幼なじみ My childhood friend

新潟から幼なじみのゆっこちゃんが帰ってきたので、高校の時の同級生のおいっきーを誘ってプールに行ってきた。今日も暑かった・・・。

ゆっこちゃんの子供はみゆきちゃん１０歳といさむくん５歳。おいっきーの子供がそうちゃん、もうすぐ４歳。

みんな年が近いので、楽しくプールで遊べたよ！

My childhood friend Yukko came home from Niigata, so we went to pool with them and my other friend Mie.

Yukko has two kids, Miyuki 10 years old and Isamu 5 years old. Mie has one kid, Soutaro almost 4 years old. It was fun!

ストーン・ペインティング Stone painting

Taka and I took a Stone Painting Class in our community center. Choose some stones, paint those stones and made fishes, put those fishes on the cork board. It was fun and if I have a chance I will join the class again.

岩舟町の公民館でストーンペインティング教室があったので、たあくんと参加してきた。たくさんの石の中から適当な物を選び、石に色を塗りお魚を作り、コルクのボードに貼り付けた。

たあくんは、かなり楽しんでいて、また機会があれば参加したいと思った。

ゆうひくん Yuhi

さえことみやこさんが実家に帰ってきたので会いに行ってきた。
たあくんは怪獣キコリン（みやこさんの旦那）とダンナサン（さえこの旦那。何故かたあくんはダンナサンと呼ぶ。））に遊んで貰って非常にうるさかった。なおくんは、ゆうひくん（みやこさんの赤ちゃん、９ヶ月かな）の椅子が気に入って立ったり座ったり。なおくんは滅多になおくんより小さい子と遊ぶことがないので、ちょっとビビリ気味。
そして、お母さんのお料理、美味しかった～。
また、帰ってきたら会おうね～。
We went to see Saeko and Miyako sisters at their parents' home. Yuhi is Miyako's baby and he is 9 month old. Naoki did not have a chance to see a baby who is younger than he is. I think he felt like a little big boy. Saeko's mother's cooking was great as usual i will miss her cooking.

盆踊り The Bon Dance

毎年夏に行われる岩舟の盆踊りに行ってきた。最近では盆踊りとは呼ばず、サマーフェスタと言うらしい。三波春男が歌う岩舟音頭も何故か調子が早くなっていた。

２０年ぶりぐらいにヨシタカに会った。上の写真の真ん中の男の子。ヨシタカとはず～と一緒に空手を習っていて、合宿で魚のつかみ取りなどをした思い出がある。顔はまったく変わっていなかったけど背が大きくなっていてビックリした。もうすぐパパになる。元気な赤ちゃんが無事生まれますように！（ちなみに一緒に写真に写っているのは山崎ファミリー）

行く前にババからお小遣いを貰ったので、屋台でたあくんはリンゴ飴と綿アメを購入。 綿アメはなおくんにもおすそ分け。
さらに、今日は最後の花火がもの凄く近くに見えて良かった。なおくんも指をさして見ていた。

We went to Bon Dance. Bon Dance is one of Buddhist event. From Aug 13 to Aug 16 is Bon in Japan and we believe this period our ancestor came back to this world. Also we going back to parents' home this period.

There is many food stand. Taka had got little spending money from his great-grandma so he got cotton candy and Ringo-ame which is sugar covered apple. Taka share cotton candy with Naoki.

折り紙とゲーム

あーちゃんが折り紙でヘラクレスオオカブトを作ってくれた。

今日本は折り紙がブームなのか動物を作る折り紙や恐竜を作る折り紙など、色々売っている。しかし、やたらと難しいし、説明書も読みにくい。

There is many different kind of Origami like making an animal or a dinosaur in Japan now. It is so difficult and instruction is not easy to read but my sister made a beetle for Taka.

写真のたあくんが持っている物。実は初代のゲームボーイ。何年前に買ったのだろう。でかいし、本体は一色しかないし、白黒だし、保存も出来ない、けれど、まだ動く。ゲームが欲しくて仕方ないたあくんは大喜び。放っておけばず～っとやっている。やっぱり、買ってあげるのはまだ早いらしい。

Do you know what Taka is holding? This is a Gameboy the first!!! Compare to recent Gameboy, the first one is huge, body is just one color, screen is just black and white, and you cannot save but it is still working. I think I bought this when I was in collage. Taka want me to buy a video game but when he is doing this old gameboy he would not stop. I do not think I am going buy one for few years.

断髪 Hair cut

なおくんの前髪があまりにも邪魔そうなので、あーちゃんがなおくんの前髪を切ってくれた。

Naoki's hair was bother Naoki's eyes. Ayumi cut his hair. This time it was just front.

スイカ割り Suika wari

じじとばばが、畑から出来損ないのスイカを持ってきたので、スイカ割りをした。

初めてだったのでいまいち上手に出来なかった・・・。

Taka did Suika wari for the first time. Suika is watermelon and Wari is bust. Watermelon bust is a common game in Japan in summer.

ダディ帰国・・・ See you later Daddy!

いよいよダディが帰ってしまった。

佐野のバス停まで送っていったのだけれど、たあくんは泣いた。後１０日もしたらアメリカに帰るから、すぐに会えるのに、泣いた。

たあくんは、別れに弱い。毎回、ダディがどこかに行くときには泣くし、日本から帰るときにはしばらく日本の家族に会えないから泣く。帰ってからも何日間かは毎日泣く・・・。また帰ったら泣くんだろうなぁ。

ダディは日本が楽しかったかなぁ？

Daddy went back to US.

We took him to the bus stop in Sano city. Taka cried a lot. We are going to back soon too but he cried.

He is really sensitive to separation. every time, daddy go somewhere he cry a lot. Also when we go back to US, he cry because he misses his Japanese family. I am sure he is going to cry for few days this time...

Hope daddy enjoyed staying in Japan.

日光東照宮 Nikko Toshogu

どこか日本的なところに行きたいというマーヴィンのリクエストで日光東照宮に行ってきた。

何年か日本を離れているせいか、何年か日光に行っていないせいか、凄く新鮮な感じがした。小さい頃に何度も行ったことがあるところで、昔はもっと色々なところを公開していたように思った。しかし、階段が多くて、見て回るのに汗びっしょりになってしまった。

たあくんは日本の古い建築物には興味がないかなぁと思っていたけれど、東照宮の建築物の彫刻には猿や竜、猫など動物が多いので、意外と楽しんでいた。なおくんは、道の脇の石に夢中だった。

たあくんやなおくんがもう少し大きくなったらまた行ってみたいと思う。日本の歴史も少し学ばなくちゃなぁ～。

We went to Nikko Toshogu comply with a Marvin's request. He wants to see something like JAPAN!!!

Nikko Toshogu is the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu and many temple and Shinto shrine are in Nikko.

I have not been there for years so I really enjoyed there like new place even though I went there many times. But there are too many stairs and it was hot so we were sweat all over.

I thought Taka was not going to like these place. Against all he liked there because there were many animals in sculpture in Toshogu architecture's decoration and they are beautiful.

I would like to go again when Taka and Naoki are little bit older and I would like to learn Japanise histry again with them.

那須温泉 Hot Spring

Marvin did love Hot Spring. Luckily our summer house is in hot-spring town and when you turn a tap on, there were hot spring.

マーヴィンは那須の温泉が大好き。一日に何度も入る。

花火大会 Fireworks

黒磯の花火大会に行ってきた。しかし、花火大会って駐車場を探すのは大変だし、暗くなるまで待たなくちゃ行けないし、でも、何故か行かなくちゃって言う気分になってしまうのは何でだろう。
去年まで、たあくんは花火が怖かったけれど、今年はお腹に響く花火の音が好きになったらしい。「まま～、たあくんのお腹がドキドキするよ～」って楽しそうだった。
We went to see Fireworks. Many place had fireworks festival in japan in Summer which dose just fireworks for two hours. Taka did not like watching any fireworks but he enjoyed sounds of those this year.

那須ハイランドパーク Nasu Highland park

那須ハイに行ってきた。乗り放題のチケットで、たあくんとマーヴィンは乗り物づくし。
We went to Nasu Highland Park. This is an amusement park. Taka and Marvin did enjoyed riding attractions very much.

ダディが来た Daddy came to Japan

ダディが暑い日本に来た。

Daddy came to HOT Japan.

梅雨明け The end of the rainy season

関東もやっと梅雨明けした。今年は長い梅雨だった。
更に暑い。梅雨の間が涼しかったから、余計に暑い。洗濯物もカラッと乾く。
写真は無いけれど、今日は梅雨明け記念にプールに行ってきた。
栃木市のプールで、結構広くて、大人は３００円、小学生以下は無料なので、たあくんとなおくんを連れて行っても、３００円。安く、楽しく遊べた。
しかし、暑かった・・・。
Finally rainy season was over in Kanto area. It was longer than normal year.
But it is hot. Laundry dry really good. (We hung Landry outside in Japan.)
There is no picture but we went to pool near our town as celebration of the end of rainy season. It was public pool and an adult about $3, younger than 6years old were free.
It was fun but it was hot....
